By now I think the vast majority of women have read it, the borderline pornographic, but passion-filled and addicting novel, 50 Shades of Grey, written by E.L. James. First off, I would like to say, I read all three books in the trilogy and I was obsessed along with the rest of the female population. I read each book in about a week. Besides their sexual appeal, they were well-written, giving them an even more addicting flavor. Kudos to E.L. James for being ballsy enough to put something on the market like this. Library’s were banning
your books, girl!
So a friend at work forwarded me this article, and I can’t help but share it with you. It is downright hysterical. Click here to read article!
So what did you think? I nearly peed myself. “He said he had every intention of squirting sauce over Miss McCormick, but he now regrets having done this, realizing how stupid it sounds.” — Oh my gosh! You squirted your girlfriend with a brown sauce over a trilogy and then lawyers had to get involved and you were charged with assault. WHAT? Drama!
I just can’t believe how popular this book series became over night. Everything on the internet revolves around these books! There are picture quotes, t-shirts, jewelry, you name it! Everyone has Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele on their lips these days. I guess all the buzz probably has a lot to do with the upcoming movie production inspired by the trilogy.
I am extremely excited to see where this whole movie thing goes with the trilogy. As of right now, the rights have been sold but E.L. James still has creative say in what happens in the movie. This gives me a settled feeling because if this movie is going to happen, it needs to happen the right way. There is nothing I hate more than a movie ruining a fantastic book. Producers are still in the process of selecting their cast but I really hope they choose some low key celebs that won’t make me think of past productions while watching the movie. The latest gossip on the production is that the movie is to be produced by the “Social Network” team. I think this will benefit the movie because it will give the movie a little bit more credibility for those who are doubting it, especially for people like Raymond, in the article I shared above, who despise the trilogy. Maybe this will help shed some light!
